Where I find my Soul Food
When I start to crave for a bowl of hot noodle soup, I come here.
House Special Large/Wide Rice Noodle Soup has always been my favorite since it opened a couple of decades ago, even the server knows when I walk-in. I remember it used to be $5.50 a bowl now $8.50. The portion and broth are the same but among many toppings, like chicken, pork, shrimp ... I don't see duck meat in the bowl anymore. Well, cost of doing business do getting expensive.
As long as Kim Tar is there in the City of Industry, I will return and return ... for a bowl of hot noodle soup. -

Service 1*
Food 2*
Ordered the food. Every dish came out one at a time. I get mines last. Everyone egg rolls were ice cold. They replace a couple with hot ones but mines came out cold again. The orange beef was fried way too long to the point of being dry. My drink came out 10 mins after my food after I asked several times for it. I was basically done eating before my drink came out. The bbq meats were just ok. I will not be returning. -

Yesterday, my dad wants to buy half a Peking duck for dinner and decided to have lunch since we already there. We had the lunch special for $7.45 or something like that. It comes with soup, egg roll, rice and entree. They sat us down with the menu and 5 minutes past, we ready to order. We ordered # 11 & # 12 and 2 water. 10 minutes past, no water. We were sitting way back in the corner so I was trying to wave them down, no use. I went up to the counter and told the waitress we been sitting there for 10 minutes and no water. She says ok I bring it. After 3 minutes then we get water. But no food. After 23 minutes we finally got our food. It looks good but after I bite into the egg roll, it was cold and the rice was dry like uncooked rice. And the water taste like sink water with ice. Ugh. Disappointed. I don't ever want to come here again. If my dad wants to come here then I'll go next door to the other place and get their food instead. The service is horrible and the food sucks. My dad asked for extra sauce for the duck and the manager or owner ( the older man) said is in there. When we got home, no extra sauce. How the hell that little container sauce is going to be enough for the half duck meat. Is like the size of that little cup when you buy medicine for a cold. So disappointing. How they still have a grade A for their restaurant, I don't understand.
